A postcard-size book of the stories behind portraits of British wildlife killed on the road in wildlife-vehicle collisions, or found dead in the landscape of one English village, 33 of which appeared in the 2023 book Some Queer Animals.

Paying tribute to 16 of these unique individuals by writing about the circumstances of their violent deaths, Bakker also shares knowledge about species, as well as addressing aspects of his approach to making.
